In Sue Monk Kidd’s book, The Book of Longings, the story follows Ana, a Jewish girl who knew at an early age she had a fire within her—a well full of living water with words to write and stories to keep. In her prayer bowl, she inscribes:
I just read The Book of Longings as well and I loved that she believed in the largeness inside of her. We are often told to not take up space as women or to play down our gifts with a false humility. May we be women who honour the largeness inside of us 👊
Jenai this is beautiful. The “largeness” within…that really speaks to my heart. Thank you for doing the painful and faithful work of letting your story redeem the brokenness that so many of us carry.
